is the show sex and the city really realistic?

are there alot of women in real life that are like that on the show. like are there alot of older women who have sex with random guys everyday and talk about it with there friends at brunch the next day. are there alot of women like samantha that just loves sex so much.
is the show really realistic or do women just act like now because of the show. have women always acted that way (and by acting that way i mean everything they do on the show and what they talk about and the whole show in general) or always wanted to or are they exagerating it?
